Our client approached us because they were fed up with their existing bathroom. Fitted in the 1980’s, the suite looked dated and the layout and design needed a re-think. Although they knew exactly what they wanted, the thought of planning the various elements and organising all of the tradesman was a little daunting.
The client opted for our project management service, allowing them to relax and enjoy the process of planning their dream bathroom. Stage one with a project like this is always an extensive site meeting with the clients, this gives us the opportunity to discuss ideas and suggest options and solutions. We then agree a project plan with the client and organise the various trades to ensure that the plumbing, tiling and electrical elements are all in place at the right time to minimize disruptions.
Since the layout of the existing bathroom no longer suited the clients needs, a complete strip out was required, taking the bathroom back to a blank canvas. The floor tiles were removed to allow re-location of the bath, shower and vanity units and the old lathe and plaster walls were re-plastered to give a clean contemporary finish. The bathroom was re-wired to allow for an electronically heated towel rail and new down lights were installed, improving the quality and control of the lighting. A new shower enclosure was fitted with a built in shower valve, keeping the clean modern lines of the re-plastered walls. Finally new vanity units were installed with intricate pebble splash backs to provide a luxury finish.
The clients are absolutely delighted with their new bathroom. It has been transformed from a dated, impractical space in to a luxurious room that they love spending time in. From their initial ideas and ‘wish list’, our project management service created their dream bathroom, without hassle or disruption. All in all a job well done!
